Together with Friends

To facilitate more meaningful and innovative support activities for children with cancer, the Children’s Cancer Network encourages pupils and students to contribute ideas and efforts, all aimed at benefiting children with cancer.

The “Together with Friends” project connects with organizations and experts in education, psychology, and sociology to introduce and guide pupils and students in understanding and implementing small-scale social projects. The social goals that the Children’s Cancer Network aims for are to connect the community, especially young people, to collectively address the difficulties faced by children with cancer, helping to expand and further develop the network supporting young cancer patients.

Some precursor activities of the ” Together with Friends” Project have already been carried out through the Children’s Cancer Network including:

– Selling the book “The Sun Shines” (by Hoang Thi Dieu Thuan) to raise funds for children with cancer. Total funds raised: 96,266,000 VND. (From 2017 to present).

– “I Wish” Talkshow conceptualized and produced by Hoang Thi Dieu Thuan (2019).

– Donating hats and woolen scarves to young patients experiencing hair loss during winter treatment, by young writer Hoang Thi Ngoc Dung (pen name Denley Lupin). (2019)

Together with Friends

– Creating the comic book “Special Family” by author Le Anh (10 years old) to sell and raise funds to support young patients at the National Institute of Hematology – Blood Transfusion. Funds raised: 500,000 VND and 10 printed copies. (2019)

– “Lucky Money” book donations for Tet from the EQ Book Club to children at the National Institute of Hematology – Blood Transfusion, from 2019 to present. Approximately 200 books. (2019)

Together with Friends

– Acrylic painting on fabric bags, to be given to young patients at the National Institute of Hematology – Blood Transfusion, the Oncology Department of the National Children’s Hospital, and the Pediatric Department of K Hospital. (2018 and 2019)

– Autumn Workshops – Acrylic painting on fabric bags for students, aimed at fundraising for children with cancer. Amount raised: 5,073,000 VND (2019).

– Selling “lucky money” envelopes to raise funds for children with cancer, carried out by Hoang Thi Dieu Thuan. Amount raised: 26,778,000 VND (2019).

– “Ru Trinh” Music Night at Trinh Ca Tea Room (Hanoi, October 17, 2019). Amount raised: 6,500,000 VND.

– Thien Dan and students from class 6A16, Vinschool Times City Middle School, supported children at the Institute of Hematology while practicing their Global Citizenship Education (GCED) subject. Amount raised: 818,000 VND. (2021)
